Play is Children’s Work

Building Buddies believes that through play, children learn to socialize, cooperate, compete, follow rules, practice self-control, and express creativity. The Building Buddies staff will teach your child the importance of using appropriate social skills in an environment that is safe and accepting of your child’s uniqueness and enthusiasm. Our goal is for every child to make a friend and build lasting relationships.

Many children with behavioral needs also benefit from the ongoing teaching of social skills. When you think about it, most classroom and playground problems are a direct result of inappropriate social skills. These skills can be learned at all ages, and children need to be reminded that even adults continue to learn social skills.
